Escaping the cold and retreating to paradise sounds like the wedding of a lifetime. Amy and Al chose the Garza Blanca Preserve in heavenly Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for their intimate, blissful affair. With sand beneath their feet and sun above their heads, these two had a relaxed, low-key wedding that rivals any vacation.
Before the ceremony, Amy and Al spent the day relaxing on the beach with family and friends. In the afternoon, they parted ways to get ready.
Amy’s dress was the picture-perfect choice for a beachfront wedding. It was a lace, V-neck gown with delicate beading around the waist and a lovely train. Her side-swept curls looked charming with a thin, sparkling headband and she chose a pair of glittering gold heels to wear before and after the ceremony.
She carried a bouquet full of greenery and pink and white rose buds.
Al looked cool and comfortable in a gray Nordstrom suit, complete with a gray vest and white tie.
As he embraced with his mother, Al made his way down to the ceremony to the delicate hum of a cello.
Barefoot and beautiful, Amy walked with her father down to the beach.
Standing between two palm trees and in front of a fabric-covered arbor, Al couldn’t contain the emotion as his bride walked down the sand-covered aisle. The ceremony was filled with lots of love and laughter.
Guests created a circle with their shoes and the couple placed theirs in the center, as a way to symbolize unity and togetherness. After the ceremony, the couple stayed behind and posed for some photos with a setting sun and the beautiful rocky shore.
With the fiery bursts of peach, orange and red painted in the distance, the guests feted the couple with a poolside reception.
Tables were decorated with thin slices of wood topped with small arrangements of baby’s breath. Small votive candles created a romantic glow of light.
Everyone enjoyed a delicious dinner and guests noshed on small cupcakes in various flavors topped with small silver sprinkles. After dining, the couple and their guests couldn’t wait to get on the dance floor.
With a spirited mix of ‘90s tunes, guests danced the night away under white string lights.
And at the very end of the night, the couple completed their celebration with a bright pink piñata, true to a celebratory occasion in Mexico.
This couple didn’t have to worry about anything, as the resort took care of most of the details. They were able to provide their guests with a fun, memorable and heartwarming experience in a serene location. What more could a wedding day need than friends, family and a fiesta? Congratulations, Amy and Al!
