But there’s no denying, the benefits of regular exercise are just AMAZING! For mind, body and soul.
(Plus a good workout is one of the best stress relievers there is!)
That’s why I’m thrilled to be featuring a series of bridal fitness posts over the next few weeks. To help you look and, most importantly, feel great on your wedding day.
First up is a fab bridal fitness plan created by celebrity personal trainer, JoJo of Headstart Fitness in collaboration with creative wedding planners Knot and Pop and illustrated beautifully by Gemma Milly.
It focuses on using your own body weight so you can sweat it out in the comfort of your own home or at the gym, with a few tongue in cheek wedding planning tips thrown in for good measure!
Top 10 Exercises For Brides To Be
This 45 minute Bridal workout will get your heart pumping, body moving and muscles toning…and get you looking totally gorgeous for the big day.
If you’re new to exercise, go slow – we don’t want any injuries! Try one set of each exercise for starters (So 10 squats, 10 lunges etc.). As you get into it (and you will), increase your routine to three sets of ten repetitions, as per the plan.
The boring bit: always check with a fitness professional before starting on any new work-out, especially if you have any injuries or niggles. For anything more serious check with the doc.
Oh and whatever you do, DON’T do this workout in your wedding dress, floral crown and veil like our sassy, illustrated friend above!
